Grand Jury refuses to indict SMHS science teacher

Members of the Grand Jury refused Monday to return indictments against a local high school science teacher charged two weeks ago with sex crimes against a child.

The Jackson County Grand Jury did not return any true bills against Nathan Hopper, 49, who was arrested Nov. 28 on 30 counts of child sexual abuse.
