McCoy's body found in Buncombe; Cherokee men charged with murder

Within hours after an alleged fugitive and his cousin were extradited from Montana to North Carolina Saturday night (Feb. 10), the body of a missing Cherokee woman was found off Interstate 26 in Buncombe County.

The Haywood County Sheriff's Department was expected to issue arrest warrants Wednesday against Martin Willard Pepion, 25, and his 20-year-old cousin, Robert Kristen Groenwold.
